Ethereal Shadows offers an unparalleled opportunity to experience the cutting-edge of Nigerian visual culture, encouraging deeper dialogue about the country’s role in shaping global contemporary art. Through this exhibition, we invite viewers to not only witness but also engage with the complexities of Nigerian society as expressed through the powerful lens of these 5 contemporary artists: Okereke, Amos Black, “Elysees” Elsie Okoyigwe, Astrowurld, and Ikay Ekhaguere.

JUST ANNOUNCED – OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS!

The Space is proud to partner with local organization, FARAH – Foundation for Arab American Heritage – to host an exhibit for Arab and Arab-American artists. The open call is live until February 17 through this link on Show Submit. Accepted artists will be notified by the end of February, and the exhibit will run from March 24 – April 27. The month of April is Arab Heritage month so let’s celebrate the cultural richness of Arab art!

Max Ginsburg – An oil painting workshop & exhibition

This is a rare opportunity to study with a contemporary master realist. Max Ginsburg has a long legacy of teaching and a body of work that is highly sought after. The fact that he is a local Montclairian, and that he was my teacher in art school ages ago just makes it so extra special!

The workshop is June 2 – 6, and the exhibition of his work will be from May 16 – June 15.

The shop at the Space

Jewelry is art. And when its jewelry of a unique caliber it belongs in an art gallery. The Shop at the Space has an eclectic assortment of beautiful jewelry that you won’t find anywhere else. From fine gold jewelry, to sculptural fashion jewel and some vintage pieces thrown in, we have a variety of price points and options to choose from.

The jewelry shop is open during gallery hours, Friday – Sunday 11 – 6pm.

The space is a forum for creative expansion and expression.  We are an art gallery that holds art classes, open mic nights, artist talks, exhibit openings, healing circles, live music events, meditation and wellness events, and jewelry markets.
