Open to all writers, poets, storytellers and beyond! We are celebrating Jewish voices this month, but we are always inclusive of everyone.
Calling all writers, poets, and storytellers! Join us for an evening of creative expression at our Space for Words Open Mic Night. Whether you’re a seasoned author or just getting started, this is your chance to share your work in front of a supportive and inspiring audience.
Bring your poetry, short stories, or excerpts from your latest work — the stage is yours! Each writer will have a few minutes to showcase their writing, followed by an opportunity to connect with fellow creatives.
Come for the words, stay for the community. The Space for Words has grown into an amazing community of writers supporting one another. This event is open to all levels and all genres, so whether you write fiction, non-fiction, memoir, or poetry, we want to hear from you. It’s all about celebrating the power of storytelling in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. All of our open mic nights are always inclusive.
Anyone who puts their name in the bucket upon entry gets a shot at the mic. You may be limited to about 10 minutes depending on how many people sign up. Audience members are, as always, a welcome and vital part of the performances.
If you have published books that you would like to sell, bring some copies and be prepared to accept payment.
General guidelines:
BYOB is welcome, and some light snacks and drinks are served.
