Sovereignty – A group art show about what it means
October 18 – November 10, 2024
Artist Talk Sunday October 27, 2 – 4 pm
Sovereignty
- supreme and independent power or authority
- rightful status, independence, or prerogative.
- a sovereign or independent state, community, or political unit.
Sovereignty is one of those words that can conjure deep thoughts and emotions. It can mean so many different things on so many levels – personal, political, physical, and so on. Especially during this critical time when oppression is running rampant. We humans seem obsessed with controlling one another.
What does sovereignty mean to you? Lets look at what it means to us as a collective. I welcome the different opinions and collective imagination we can share with one another. Lets explore this topic and make space for one another to express our version of it.
Join us on Sunday October 27 for the Artist Talk where you can meet all the artists. Find out about their work, what inspired them, and share techniques and process. The event is free and open to the public. Donations to the Space are needed and encouraged.
