Thursday, January 15th, 7:30 – 9:00 pm, $15
Join us to welcome in the new energies of 2026 with a multi-instrument, multi-facilitator sound journey including the earth energies of gongs, drums, rattles, shakers ~ the water energy of handpan and tongue drum ~ the fire energy of guitar and voice ~ and the sky energy of crystal bowls and chimes.
Through a soothing evening of healing sounds and vibrations, you can return to your natural state of ease, balance, and spaciousness.
ARRIVAL
Please arrive between 7:00pm-7:25pm so that you have time to find a spot and settle in. In order to maintain the peace and tranquility of the sound, the doors will close at 7:40pm and those arriving more than 10 minutes late may be asked to attend a future event.
WHAT TO BRING
Please bring a yoga mat, blanket(s), pillows, and any other items that will help you be comfortable during the hour! People often choose to lie on the floor during a sound bath, but you are also welcome to bring a chair if you prefer to be seated. Several couches will be available in the space.
THE SCIENCE
Science shows that sound and vibration directly influences the parasympathetic nervous system. The parasympathetic nervous system works in opposition to our sympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for the “fight or flight” response.
Engaging the parasympathetic nervous system leads to a relaxation response by stimulating the body’s natural “rest and digest” functions through the vibrations resonating within the body, effectively calming the nervous system when exposed to specific frequencies or sounds.
