A Monthly Improvised Vocal Experience with Larissa Jaye

Experience the joy of spontaneous creation! Following a truly fulfilling first gathering, we are excited to announce that Circle Singing is now a monthly event at The Space.

Our first session, led by the highly talented musician Larissa Jaye, brought together strangers to fill the room with unity and harmony. Everyone left feeling connected and part of something great—and we were!

What is Circle Singing?

Made popular by Grammy-winning artist Bobby McFerrin, Circle Singing invites participants to create music together on the spot. It involves layering harmonies, rhythms, and melodies without any sheet music or preparation. It’s about making music in the moment, connecting through sound, and feeling the joy of spontaneous creation in community.

Your Voice Belongs Here

Everyone is welcome to join this improvised vocal experience. Each gathering will be as unique as its participants.

• No Experience Necessary: You do not have to “know how to sing.” As humans, we all know how to sing already—no matter what other stories we carry with us. Through Circle Singing, we get to lay those stories down.
• Find Your Voice: This is an opportunity to tap into and remember the power of your own voice as we express ourselves together and become part of a bigger whole.
• Safe and Inclusive: While you will always be encouraged to participate to your comfort level, know that you are always welcome to decide what that looks like for you. Our Circle is a safe, supportive, and inclusive space.
