Workshop Overview
In this workshop, we will spend the first 45 minutes or so learning and exploring the Major Arcana in The Tarot, and the power of symbolism. We will learn about the history, roots and meanings of the symbols and colors that are historically used.
In the next segment, we will start to redesign the cards using your own creative style, symbols and natural expression. No art or tarot experience is needed! We’ll learn the power of allegory, journal our insights, listen to what is coming up for us, and bring a card to life through drawing, painting, or collage. The idea is to allow what you’re sensing in the moment to flow intuitively within the framework of the tarot.
What We’ll Do:
– Learn the Major Arcana & how to use symbolism to translate meaning
– Choose a card that speaks to you
– Reflect on the card’s meaning through journaling
– Plan your design using sketches and symbols
– Create your own version of the card
Materials will be provided.
Bring your imagination, an open mind, a tarot deck and a notebook!
Each session will build upon the last. If you have attended before and would rather skip the first part, you can buy the $30 ticket and arrive around 3pm.
