Dancing with Love and Gratitude: A Somatic Movement Experience with Teresa D’Angelo, Somatic Dance Coach
Sunday, November 23rd, from 2 – 3:30 pm, $30
Join us for a unique somatic movement session that invites you to reconnect with your body, mind, and spirit through mindful, expressive movement. This practice is an opportunity to lay down judgment and open space for your truest self to flow.
The Nia® Somatic Experience
Guided by Somatic Dance Coach Teresa D’Angelo, this expressive practice is built on the Nia® technique—a holistic fitness program that uniquely draws from three core disciplines:
- Dance Arts: Tapping into creative expression and fluidity.
- Martial Arts: Grounding yourself with power and focus.
- Healing Arts: Cultivating self-awareness, ease, and balance.
Move with Freedom, Beyond Judgment
This session is designed to help you move with profound freedom and ease. Through body awareness techniques, you will be invited to move beyond thought or judgment, allowing compassion and joy to flow through you.
NIA (Neuromuscular Integrative Action) is fundamentally a somatic practice, meaning it emphasizes the internal sensation and connection to your body as a pathway to wellness.
- Inclusive Practice: Nia is highly adaptable and welcoming to all levels and abilities.
- Embrace the Earth: The practice is designed to be performed barefoot, connecting you deeply with the ground beneath you.
Come as you are, and experience the transformative power of embodied gratitude.
